Projeto Boi Novo de Cobre Ouro

The Boi Novo Copper-Gold Project was obtained as part of Centaurus’ II Business Development and Growth Strategy on the Horizon, which aims to build a long-term growth structure in Brazil, with a focus on strategic minerals.
The Boi Novo Copper-Gold Project covers a 35 km2 area with high prospectivity in the eastern portion of the Carajás Mineral Province – known for being one of the world’s leading regions with IOCG occurrences and deposits. Carajás is home to the world’s largest known concentration of large-tonnage IOCG deposits, nearly all of which are found in the Itacaiúnas Supergroup. The Boi Novo mining rights cover a 15 km extension of this highly prospective volcano-sedimentary sequence.
The project is located 30km from Parauapebas (250 thousand inhabitants), the main urban hub of the Carajás Mineral Province, and the base for professionals and service providers supporting Vale's iron ore and base metal mines in the region. It is located just 35 km from Vale's copper-gold concentrate loading center at the Salobo and Sossego mines, and less than 20 km from BHP's Antas Norte copper flotation plant.
The Boi Novo Project currently has 5 research targets, called Bufalo, Nelore, Zebu, Guzerá and Presley. The first four occur in the metavolcanic sequence and in iron formations of the Grão Pará Group, in areas where there are copper anomalies in the soil above 500 ppm coinciding with magnetic anomalies, along a discontinuous trend of 12km.
The Presley Target was identified by geological mapping and consists of a 500m long east-west oriented brecciated zone, which presents intense alteration to magnetite and malachite, and is hosted in the Estrela Granite.
The inaugural drilling campaign in this project, which began in May 2024, identified several high-grade copper and associated gold mineralized zones in the Nelore West and Presley Targets and in addition to thick zones with the potential to add large tonnage, with lower grades in the Nelore, Zebu and Guzerá Targets.
All survey targets are open laterally and at depth with several EM (Electromagnetism) and IP (Induced Polarization) anomalies to be probed.
